Description
Durable & Chemical-Resistant Lining
Bitumen Mastic is a high-performance, acid and alkali-resistant mastic used for protective coatings on concrete, brickwork, steel, and industrial floors. It is ideal for drains, foundations, pits, and chemical industry surfaces, providing a tough, impervious, and long-lasting protective layer.
This ready-to-use mastic offers excellent resistance to mildly corrosive chemicals, water, salts, and alkalis. Its adhesive properties ensure strong bonding to primed concrete surfaces, while its trowelable and workable consistency allows easy application over large areas. Bitumen Mastic should be applied over a Bitumor Primer-treated surface for optimal adhesion and performance.

Application Method
- Break Bitumor Mastic into small pieces before heating.
- Heat the material gradually until it reaches proper working consistency.
- Apply the hot mastic using a trowel or straight-edged wooden float.
- Allow the applied surface to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before putting it into service.
- Ensure good adhesion by applying only over surfaces primed with Bitumor Primer.
Surface Preparation
- Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, moisture, and loose particles.
- All concrete surfaces must be primed with Bitumor Primer before application of Bitumor Mastic.
Recommended Applications
- Protective lining for concrete and masonry surfaces
- Floors, drains, pits, and foundations
- Industrial and chemical plant areas
- Steel and structural surfaces (when properly primed)
