Bitumen Primer is a high-quality, ready-to-use primer designed for acid and alkali-resistant applications on concrete, brickwork, and metal surfaces. It provides an excellent base layer for Bitumen Mastics and protective coatings, ensuring strong adhesion and long-lasting performance in corrosive industrial environments.
This bituminous, air-curing primer is resistant to water, acids, and alkalis, forming a uniform, impermeable film on clean, dry, and slightly rough surfaces. It is easy to apply with a brush or roller, and its drying time depends on ambient temperature, typically fully curing within 8 hours. The primer enhances the bonding of subsequent coatings, mastics, or waterproofing layers, making it essential for industrial floors, drains, foundations, tanks, and pits exposed to chemicals

Recommended Uses

Surface Preparation
- The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, or loose particles.
- Concrete surfaces should be slightly rough for proper bonding.
- Do not apply on wet or smooth surfaces.
Application Method
- Apply one uniform coat using a brush.
- Allow the primer to dry completely before applying subsequent layers or treatments.
- Drying time depends on ambient temperature and site conditions.

- Coverage may vary depending on surface texture and porosity. Smooth surfaces will yield higher coverage than rough or porous substrates.
- Shelf life: 24 months when stored at 30°C (±2°C)
- Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area
- Keep containers tightly closed when not in use
- Ensure electrical fittings and lighting are spark-proof
- Standard packing: 25-liter carboys
- Export packing: Available as per customer specification
- Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
- In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean running water for at least 15 minutes.
- Use protective gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate PPE during application.
- Contains volatile and mildly toxic solvents.
- Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
