Description
High-Performance Acid & Chemical-Resistant Mortar
Epoxy Resin Mortar is a premium industrial mortar designed for bedding and jointing acid-resistant bricks and tiles in demanding chemical and industrial applications. It provides excellent adhesion to concrete, ceramic, and metallic surfaces, ensuring long-lasting protection for tanks, floors, pipelines, foundations, and chemical storage areas.
Formulated for superior resistance to acids, alkalies, salts, organic solvents, and harsh chemicals, Epoxy Resin Mortar is ideal for environments requiring high mechanical strength, chemical durability, and impact resistance. Its self-hardening, trowelable formulation ensures uniform application, strong bonding, and leak-proof lining for industrial and chemical processes.
Key Features
High-strength acid and chemical-resistant mortar
Strong adhesion to concrete, ceramic, and metal surfaces
Resistant to acids, alkalies, salts, and solvents
Self-hardening, trowelable, and easy to apply
Applications
Chemical plants
industrial floors
ETP plants
storage tanks
acid-resistant lining projects
industrial pipelines
Chemical & Temperature Resistance
- Good resistance to dilute and moderate inorganic acids
- Excellent resistance to alkalies, salts, oils, and chloride solutions
- Limited resistance to strong oxidizing acids
- Maximum service temperature: 60–80 °C (dry service may be higher)
Surface Preparation
- Substrate must be structurally sound, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance, and loose contaminants
- Concrete surfaces should be mechanically roughened to ensure effective bonding
- Apply a compatible epoxy primer on the prepared surface prior to mortar application
- Ensure required slopes and alignment before lining; adjustments after application are not feasible
Preparation & Mixing
Epoxy Resin Mortar is supplied as a two-component system consisting of Resin and Hardener, with pre-blended filler or separate filler powder.
01
Mix resin and hardener thoroughly as per recommended ratio
02
Gradually add filler (if supplied separately) while mixing continuously
03
Mix until a uniform, lump-free mortar consistency is achieved
04
Prepare only workable quantities due to limited pot life
05
Do not alter specified mixing ratios
Setting & Curing
- Self-hardening occurs due to a chemical reaction between Powder and Solution.
- Initial setting: 10 hours at 30°C
- Final setting: 24 – 48 hours at 30°C
- Full curing: 7 days at 30°C
- Ensure no water contacts the lining until fully cured.
