Description
Durable Acid & Chemical-Resistant Mortar
Polyester Resin Mortar is a high-performance acid-resistant and chemical-resistant mortar designed for bedding and jointing acid-resistant bricks and tiles in industrial and chemical environments. It provides strong adhesion to concrete, ceramic, and metal surfaces, making it ideal for tanks, drains, floors, foundations, and chemical storage areas.
This industrial-grade mortar offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalies, salts, and chemical solutions, ensuring durable protection under harsh conditions. With a self-hardening and trowelable formulation, Polyester Resin Mortar allows easy application, uniform coverage, and strong mechanical bonding for long-lasting, leak-proof linings.

Chemical & Temperature Resistance
- Follow MSDS and safety guidelines strictly
- Resistant to most inorganic acids and chloride solutions
- Not recommended for strong oxidizing acids
- Maximum service temperature: 80–100 °C
Surface Preparation
- Substrate must be sound, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, and loose contaminants
- Concrete surfaces should be roughened to ensure good mechanical bonding
- Apply a compatible polyester resin primer or membrane on the prepared surface prior to application
- Maintain correct slopes and alignment before lining; post-application corrections are not feasible
Preparation & Mixing
Polyester Resin Mortar is supplied as a three-component system consisting of Resin, Hardener (Catalyst), and Filler Powder.
01
Add the recommended quantity of hardener to the resin and mix thoroughly
02
Gradually add filler powder while continuously mixing
03
Mix until a uniform, workable mortar consistency is achieved
04
Prepare small batches due to limited pot life
05
Do not change the specified mixing ratios
Setting & Curing
- Curing occurs by chemical polymerization
- Pot life at 30 °C: 20–30 minutes
- Initial cure: 6–10 hours
- Light service: 24 hours
- Full chemical resistance: 5–7 days
